Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress who is best known for playing Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom" she has been gaining lots of attention. A California resident, Calvano was initially interested in competitive gymnastics. Later, however, Calvano determined to pursue a career in acting. In 2010 she was first seen on screen in an episode from the CBS series "NCIS.' The big screen debut came a year later, in the biographical crime-drama film 'J Edgar'. Over the years she's established herself as among the most exciting actors of the current business. In recognition of her role in the show 'NCIS', she was awarded a Young Artist Award for Best performance in a television Series with a Guest Actor Actress 11-15 years old in the year 2011. In 2013, in recognition of an appearance in Disney XD's "Kickin' it' comedy series, she received another nomination for the Young Artist Award. Calvano was part of the cast of Mom during its initial three years and appeared numerous times during the fourth. Her performance on 'Mom" brought her the Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star.
